FREE FOR ATHLETES AND COACHES

The Director's CutLocker Room Edition

Fourteen lessons for the athlete who has the talent and loses the moment. Built on the IT'S ME Protocol.

Why this exists

Athletes do not freeze because they lack skill. They freeze because somewhere between the whistle and the play, their sense of who they are started riding on the outcome. Then they stop competing and start auditing.

Coaches see it every season and are rarely handed a tool for it. This is the tool. Each lesson opens with a real athlete's story, then moves into two writing prompts, a training commitment, a gratitude scene, an IT'S ME check-in, and one action for the week.

There is no streak to break. Take one lesson a week and it carries a full season. Coaches split it up however their calendar works.

Fourteen lessons, four acts

  1. The Film RoomSee yourself clearly. Stop scanning for permission. Identify the real story.
  2. Take the FieldOwn it. Total ownership, owning your voice, and courage as a decision rather than a feeling.
  3. The ComebackWrite the next scene. Refuse the script and reject the ceiling someone set for you.
  4. Call ActionBecome the main character. Own where you come from and execute the next scene.

Stories drawn from basketball, women's soccer, flag football, baseball, softball, tennis, surfing, golf, field hockey, men's soccer, lacrosse, volleyball and football.

Who wrote it

Jabari Sims

Twenty-plus years in schools and on sidelines. High school basketball coach, youth flag football coach, AYSO Regional Commissioner. Creator of the IT'S ME Protocol and author of the upcoming memoir Don't Roll the Credits Yet.

This is the daily practice behind the keynote. The same framework that moves locker rooms, built into fourteen lessons an athlete can actually run.

Not an athlete? The 30-Day Director's Cut Journal covers the same protocol across thirty entries, for anyone.
